Twin explosions reported in Maiduguri, scores dead

The number of casualty is unknown at the time of filing this report.

A twin bomb blast has reportedly occurred in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

According to Premium Times, the explosions rocked the city's main market on Sunday, December 10 at about 8:48 a.m. The blasts were said to have occurred in quick succession.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations officer, Victor Isuku, said it happened near Old NEPA office not far from Monday market.
Eyewitnesses reportedly said the attacked area was crowded.
With rescue workers being mobilised to the site, the number of casualty is unknown at the time of filing this report.
Details of the blast has not been ascertain as at the time of this reports.

The immediate past governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, and his former deputy, Dr. Pius Odubu, are beneficiaries. Following the expiration of their tenures, the former and latter w ill get residential buildings worth N200m and N100m r espectively as benefits. Other benefits to be enjoyed by the former governor are a pension for life at a rate equivalent to 100 per cent of his last a nnual salary among other benefits. His deputy governor, on t he other hand, is entitled to 100 per cent of his last annual s alary as pension plus other benefits.
