Ifedolapo Oladepo died at the NYSC orientation camp Kano on Tuesday, after camp officials allegedly took her illness as pretense to avoid going for parade. "Game of Thrones" actor passes away

Peter Vaughan who played Maester Aemon in "Game of Thrones" for 20 episodes has passed away. Born April 4, 1923, the actor who passed away at the age of 93 on December 6, 2016, was an English actor known for numerous‎ s upporting roles in British films and television productions. » He h as also worked extensively on the stage. In "Game of Thrones," Vaughan portrayed Aemon a wise old teacher who was loved and trusted by many. In the ninth episode o f the first season, he revealed himself to be a Targaryen. The actor made his debut in  the 1959's " The 39 Steps ," which was a‎  classic Alfred Hitchcock film. He was best known for his role as Maester Aemon in "Game of T hrones" and as Grouty in the 1979 "Porridge." His other works include "Death at a Funeral," "Smokescreen," "Les Miserables," Monte Carlo" among others. The actor's cause of death is yet to be known as at time of this r eport.

Today as about 1:30pm along the popular ring road in the city of benin a civil defence offcer was seen running for his dear life as he was been chased by some group of angry bus drivers and conductors. It was gathered that due to the refusal of the bus conductor to give the officer the regular sum of 100 naira he placed handcuffs on him and opened the tear gas he was holding into the  eyes of the conductor. He also attacked the bus driver when he tried to interrupt him...The Driver sustained an injury on his nose. The whole drivers around there as at the time of this incident moved towards the Officer to give him the beaten of his Life but he ran for safety to a government building close by. It is disheartening to see Heartland relegated- Chukwu – Enugu News

Former Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu, on Wednesday urged fans of relegated Heartland FC of Owerri to rally round to lift the club to regain promotion to Nigeria’s top flight football. Chukwu, a former interim coach of the club, speaking in Enugu said the relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the 2015/2016 season was disheartening. Heartland finished the season on the 18th position on the log with 43 points after 36 matches. He said the club had not been relegated since 1976 when it was admitted to the NPFL, adding that something must have been fundamentally wrong for “a striving and notable club to go down this way’’. “I have been in Heartland and I know the players are hardworking and determined in their pursuit. “However, it is disheartening to see a club that has continued to do well all seasons and even represented Nigeria in many continental tournaments to be relegated,’’ he said.
