Lagos policemen to get N10m death benefits

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has increased the death benefits for Police officers to N10m. This is for Police officers who die in active service in Lagos State. Ambode raised the benefits from N1m for rank and file, and N2m for senior officers, saying that his administration would stop at nothing to ensure the safety of all residents. The Spokesman for the House, Tunde Braimoh, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the gesture would increase commitment of policemen and officers and consequently improve security in the state.
